800+ MW
We are a Northern Nevada based PV + BESS developer offering minimum 450MW energy production and storage, with additional partnerships exceeding 800MW.
NVSolarWRX
A Significant Development
The NVSolarWRX Project is being developed on 1,680 acres of privately owned land in Washoe County, Nevada. This privately held property allows for streamlined project development, reducing regulatory complexities associated with public lands. The site’s location supports large-scale renewable energy generation while ensuring compliance with local and state permitting requirements.
The NVSolarWRX Project is a planned photovoltaic solar energy system (PSES) designed to generate up to 450 MW of power through approximately 774,000 solar PV modules on a single-axis tracking system. Additionally, the project will include up to a 450 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) to enhance energy dispatch capabilities. The site spans across privately owned land in Washoe County, Nevada, situated north of Reno in the Honey Lake Valley. The project will connect to the local grid via a 345 kV generation tie-line along Rainbow Way, a designated regional transmission corridor, ultimately linking to the NV Energy Fort Sage substation. The project also includes infrastructure such as inverters, transformers, a substation, site access roads, and security fencing.

This development aligns with Nevada’s renewable energy goals, contributing to the state’s Portfolio Standard (RPS), economic growth, and grid reliability by reducing dependency on fossil fuels. The project is anticipated to meet "Projects of Regional Significance" criteria, requiring approval from the Washoe County Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. The Public Utility Commission of Nevada (PUCN) will review environmental impacts and issue permits per the Utilities Environmental Protection Act (UEPA). Regulatory approvals, including grading, dust control, and construction permits, are planned through 2026, ensuring compliance with environmental and operational standards.
